Damp Solutions Story
Founder Darryl Clark established Damp Solutions Australia whilst living in Kuranda, Tropical North Queensland in 2000 as a result of having to survive the effects of living in a high rainfall and high humidity rainforest environment.
Darryl observed a strong need for climate control and drying devices such as dehumidifiers for homes and businesses. After researching ideas to help solve moisture and mould problems, a major challenge when living in the northern tropics. Damp Solutions Australia was developed and now supplies a new and growing market by sourcing the latest Commercial and Domestic products for combating mould and moisture problems.
In 2004 Damp Solutions moved to the Sunshine Coast, a more central location, to help service an expanding Commercial and Home market for moisture control products Australia wide. In 2008 Damp Solutions moved to Cooroy in the Noosa Hinterland to a larger eco- friendly private warehouse facility, providing customers on the Sunshine coast area with a central pickup showroom and delivery point. A convenient 1300 353 043 number was introduced for interstate customers and business went into top gear!
Our new book "7 Solutions to a Mould Free Home" designed for the Homeowners was launched giving customers more of an insight into maintaining a mould free home with tips and hints on equipment, eco-friendly cleaning techniques and the use of aromatherapy for combating mould and its effects on our health.
November 2009 Darryl completed ACMI accredited Cert. Mould Investigation and Remediation Course, presented by Dr Heiki Neumeister-Kemp of Mycologia Aust P/L, a leading Mould Investigation laboratory and remediation service. This enabled Damp Solutions Aust, to further pass on valuable information to customers with mould problems commercially and for home owners.
With the growth of Damp Solutions came the introduction of new staff in 2011 & 2019. Both Kim (Senior Sales & Customer Support ) and Rob (General Sales & Customer Support) were specially selected for their passion for helping people to find solutions for in-home, business, commercial use, climate control & mould prevention needs. Both Kim and Rob can now say, that after dealing with tens of thousands of callers and email requests Aust-Wide for help over the past 9 years, they can quickly and efficiently find a solution for your needs. While offering the latest and innovative Commercial and Domestic dehumidifiers, cooling and heating products on the Australian market.
September 2012 saw the release of Damp Solutions new "Clean Look" website, now 7 years after our first initial website was launched in 2005. Our new website makes it even easier to move around the site helping you choose the right Commercial/Industrial and Home size dehumidifiers along with specialised mould prevention products.
Introduced in 2012 our professional range of Commercial and Industrial dehumidifiers covers industry-standard models such as Seibu Giken, SeccoProf, Olimpia Splendid, Airrex, Calorex, Alto, CoolBreeze, Master® , Suntec and many other known brands. Catering to the manufacturing, storage, mining, education and commercial industries.
July 2020, Damp Solutions Australia celebrates 20 years in business and what better way to celebrate, we are launching our new website, with new-look products and the latest professional wifi-based commercial dehumidifier range.
